The eSchool4S project is developed with the objective to create a multinational network to promote inclusion of  sustainable development into the secondary schools curriculum and to help teachers, schools and students to successfully and as simply as possible learn about sustainable development.


To achieve this objective, a network will be initiated to facilitate cooperation of teachers and students of the Danube region, the exchange of ideas, experiences and opinions as well as discussion of problems and dilemmas of sustainable development. One of the key elements in the network will be the web-based classroom by use of which teachers will have the opportunity to enrich their teaching and, with the use of ICT, enable their students to access new and relevant information in a dynamic and stimulative way.


With the cooperation of partners from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania in the period of 3 years (January 2014 – December 2016), a joint platform for cooperation will be formed to enable teachers and students the use of contemporary and innovative methods of teaching, offer the opportunity to cooperate and gain practical experience in the use of ICT in the classroom.


Sustainable development is a strategically important concept for all the countries of European Union and his interdisciplinary character makes SD an inevitable topic of natural and social sciences equally. With the inclusion of experts and all interested parties, as well as the international cooperation, the long-term influence of the eSchool4S project will be apparent in his integration into the secondary schools curriculum.
